Welcome aboard: Our new apprenticeship cohort is underway

Do you remember your first day at work?

It’s a special moment—one our new apprentices just got to experience. Full of anticipation and curiosity, their first day began in Gummersbach in our Casting Products division.

They then continued on to our sites in Weiershagen and Dieringhausen. From the sheer scale of round steel to the intricacies of mechanical processing, our apprentices were able to experience the diversity and size of our company firsthand.

👷‍♀️ Apprentice Jennifer captured it perfectly:
“The dimensions of the round steel and the vibrant soundscape left a deep impression on me. Everything was much bigger and more intense than I had imagined.”

In Ründeroth, the apprentices gained insights into processes within Surface Technology. It became clear how closely technical expertise and organisational workflows interlock at our company. Or, as Jennifer put it:
“My first day was packed with impressions and has only increased my excitement for the years to come at Doerrenberg.”
