What exactly does that mean?

🔶 Its fine, homogeneous microstructure with evenly distributed carbides ensures excellent hardness, stability and hot strength.
🔶 Targeted heat treatment enables hardness levels above 62 HRC while still maintaining very good corrosion resistance.
🔶 In combination with a modern PVD coating, it creates a material system that provides maximum service life and functional reliability – even under abrasive conditions.

This makes PMD550 ideal for hybrid solutions that require both maximum surface hardness and demanding corrosion protection.
